The Third Conference of the Japanese Society of Child Science

The theme of the Third Conference of the Japanese Society of Child Science was "Thinking about the History and Future of Child Science." Dr. Kobayashi Noboru, Professor Emeritus, University of Tokyo, gave the keynote address on "The Historical Background and Future of Child Science." Special lectures were given by Professor Masuko Honda, former president of Ochanomizu University, and Professor Masato Sasaki, The University of Tokyo Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, on "Children Today" and "Human Development through an Encyclopedia of Infant Movement: The Influence of Things and the Environment on Behavior." In addition to a symposium, the conference featured workshop-style classes that were planned with children.
