Figure 2-1-8 shows the percentage of each item regarding children about which fathers feel most anxiety in the future. The majority, 63.6% of fathers answered that they are worried about the high cost of future education of their child, followed by 60.2% of fathers who answered that today’s society is becoming an unfavorable environment for child growth.

What is the image of an ideal father?
The ideal father many fathers think is one who is “reliable,” “respectable,” “easy to consult with,” “understanding of children.” The older fathers are, the more they think “respectable” and “being easy to consult with” are important.

Many fathers want their children to become a person who values friends and family and does not cause trouble. The percentage of items that is related to personal relationships is quite high.
