Constructionism is the epitome of "learning by doing." This forward-looking approach is critical to cultivate the skills and attitudes kids (and all people) will need to flourish in the fast-changing, technology-driven, knowledge-based society. (It is encouraging that today this approach is growing in mainstream acceptance all over the world.)

I founded MaMaMedia to seize the commercial opportunity I saw in bringing this Constructionist approach to learning on the Internet. MaMaMedia combined our expertise in Constructionist Learning theory with the Media Lab's leadership in technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and with the emerging opportunities on the Internet to reaching the home market.

The company's vision and principles derive directly from Constructionist theory, and embody my own ideas, research and professional work both in academia and in the commercial sector.

Currently, MaMaMedia is a team of 25 full-time employees, as well as freelancers and interns. In addition to having a broad and deep experience in the industry, the team has been at the center of developments that have created unprecedented opportunities for the convergence of kids, learning methods, and technology.
