A Good 50% of Children Use the PC at Home

A good 50% of elementary, junior and senior high school students similarly use the PC at home. However, when it comes to PC-use at school, there is a gap according to academic level.

Use of the PC (Elementary, Junior and Senior High School Students)

Compared to 5 years ago, students who "often" or "sometimes" use PCs at home have increased from 30.3 % to 54.9% among elementary, from 27.4% to 54.7% among junior high, and from 21.2% to 55.4% among senior high school students. Also, for the rate of PC-use at home, there were small gaps among elementary, junior and senior high school students, but as for PC use at school, there was a large gap. As opposed to 80% of elementary school students using the PC at school, there was a rate of only 10% among senior high school students who do so.
