The Big Win

You are lying in your bed. It is not comfortable. It feels hard and lumpy. You cannot sleep. You are too cold. Throw off the blankets. No, pull them back up. You hear the noise of the traffic outside your window. You turn over again and again. The room is very dark. You wish you had someone to talk to. You have a hundred problems running through your head. Suddenly in the middle of this terrible night, the telephone rings. You reach out in the darkness tying to find the telephone. Ooops! You dropped it on the floor. Where is it? Oh, here it is.
"Hello?"
A man's voice says,
"Congratulations!! This is the Big Win Show on T.V. You have just won all-expenses paid holiday anywhere in the world! Starting tomorrow at 8 o'clock in the morning you will be with any person you choose in any country or city you choose. You can stay for two days and do anything you like!"

Life Is Not Easy

Y. M.
Doshisha International Jr/Sr High School, Kyoto, Japan

When I heard the man said "You can go anywhere in the world, and you can do anything you like!" I thought this was a dream. I started to think what I wanted to do. Thinking for a while, I decided to go to "Doshisha International high and junior high school". I chose Jack to go with me. Jack is genius in making robots and he likes to play games. When I told Jack about the telephone I accept last night, Jack looked so excited about this vacation.

The next day, Jack and I were very excited. The man came to guide us to "Doshisha International high and junior high school" with a car. Using five-hour drive, we arrived to a paradise! 3, 2, 1, bang! Our best, wonderful time has started. Jack and I settled up a plan about how we can have fun in the communication center. We were hungry in the first place, so we ordered the most-high-class sushi in Japan. While we were waiting for the sushi, we made 30-armyrobots to play. The armies' posses the same weapon like us. They looked like F.B.I and their sizes were like 5th grader. We were going to make the school to a battlefield! We used real guns to destroy the robots. Before we started the game, we made our stomachs full. Jack and I had a violent fight with the 30-army robots. Five hours later, we shot down the 30-army robots. The whole school was torn pretty badly but we didn't care. We took a break in the communication center. In the mosaic area, there were waterbeds, TV, snakes, games, and comics. It was the happiest time in my life to sleep in the waterbed, eating snacks, reading comics with my friend.

For lunch, we ordered high-class Italian food, high-class French food, and high-class Chinese food. The foods tasted so good that we can never forget. One of my dreams, to eat by lying in bed, came true. We started to get boring. Jack said, "Lets break all the windows in this school!!" It sounded fun to play so I agreed to break windows. Jack took two bats from the storehouse. I used my own golf club. We broke all the windows one by one. Breaking windows feel v-e-r-y good because doing bad things in school was fun. Breaking windows was a good exercise after lunch. Jack and I bought all the things that we wanted by e-mail, like stocks, cars, and islands. We invited all the top classes singers and actors because we wanted to see their performance. What a life! It was a supreme life! Nobody could bother us any more. But life wasn't easy. We didn't know that there was a devil right behind us............

In the afternoon, we felt something was looking at us. We decided to order all the new weapons in the world. We were ready to fight. Suddenly the principal came to us. He looked at us with anger. He was angry because we broken his new car when we were playing survival game. He also was angry with the mess that we had made in school. The principal said, "You two will never see the sunlight again..." Then he took a flashlight to blind our eyes. When we opened our eyes, the principal was gone. We looked out for the attack from the principal. We searched for the principal to make our gorgeous life safe. We came to the dark lavatory. There was a man in front of the blackboard. The man's name was Mr. Kusacabe. He told us that we must defeat 4 teachers in this school to go to the principal's office. The principal challenged us a survival game. The first teacher to fight was Mr. Kusacabe. Mr. Kusacabe's weapon was chalk. He could throw 4 pieces of chalks at once. I took a samurai sword, and use it like "Musashi Miyamoto"

The second stage was the music room. In the music room, Ms. Kitao was playing the piano. Ms. Kitao sang with a loud voice to crush our ears. So Jack and I used earplugs to fight with Ms. Kitao. We used bombs to defeat Ms. Kitao.

The third stage was in the gymnasium. Mr. Wakinishi was ready to fight. Mr. Wakinishi kicked, threw, and hit all the balls that he had. At that moment, Jack took out his favorite gun and shot down all the balls like the terminator. Mr. Wakinishi surrendered from this fight.

The last stage was 1-D. In the classroom, Ms. Nishizawa was sleeping in the chair. When we went in, she woke up with a big yawn. Her specialty is to throw paper to us. We thought paper was very soft but Ms. Nishizawa can make the paper sharp like glass. We decided to use electric shocker to defeat her.

Finally, we came to the principal's office. The principal and every teacher in this school were waiting for us. The last trial was to get 80 on the entire test that the teachers gave us. Jack and I weren't smart so it took us a long time doing this test. When it was mid night, we passed the entire test. Principal overlooked us about his car by our hard work.

Jack and I were absent-minded after doing the test. We slept all day long to provide our body. When I woke up and looked up the time, I was surprised that we only have 4 hours to play in this school. Jack and I quickly invited all the friends that we know to have a party in school. After all, this party was the most fun thing to do in this vacation. A week later, there was a letter in my mailbox. When I opened the letter, I couldn't believe my eyes! It was a check to pay $173826594. The company was a swindler! OH MY GOD! From that day, my life was gloomy. (~o~)
