| The rice was served in big bowls so that the participants could enjoy making rice balls. Sharing food reminded us that we are all living together, connected with natural resources, especially when we took rice from the same bowl and helped each other to make rice balls. |

| This relaxed everybody and helped people express themselves more openly. As the German teacher observed, the students had gotten to know one another rather well by this time, or were motivated to know each another better. Conversation was active everywhere.. |
